The Economic Outlook Conference was created out of a desire to provide the people of Hopkins County insight into the emerging trends that impact business performance projections, the cost of daily life, and the ever-changing workforce demands. Because we both believe Hopkins County deserves the best preparation and guidance, the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce and the Sulphur Springs-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation formed a partnership in 2005 to turn that vision into reality. This annual conference is the product of that joint effort. We are committed to sharing the most relevant and updated information so that citizens, business owners, and large corporations alike can all steer towards success.
The conference is held every December in Sulphur Springs at the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center. Sulphur Springs, being the seat of the county, is in a unique position. Nestled between Dallas and Texarkana along Interstate Highway 30, State Highway 11, and State Highway 19, Sulphur Springs is a center-point for both trade routes and tourism. This gives Sulphur Springs an advantageous position for businesses both large scale and small. As the economic hub of Hopkins County with easy access by major highways, Sulphur Springs is the proud home of the Economic Outlook Conference.
